Wedding At Spruce Pine Lodge

After being together ten years, Rachel and Dan exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, May 30. Family and friends gathered in Bahama, NC at Spruce Pine Lodge to celebrate. It was an event filled with Rachel's creative touches, from the hand designed and handmade wedding invitation, to the floral arrangements, table center pieces, and bouquet, to the white chocolate raspberry filled wedding cake.

Spruce Pine Lodge is tucked away in Durham County on a bluff overlooking Lake Michie. The lodge was originally constructed as a summer house in the 1930s by Mary Washington Lyon Stagg; now Spruce Pine Lodge is somewhat an unknown Durham City Park ... it is definitely a gem.

The ceremony was held on the front lawn in the dappled shade provided by the huge oak trees. It was a beautiful Carolina afternoon for an informal, outdoor wedding...the perfect setting for Rachel and Dan. Music for the ceremony and reception was by the very talented Tim Smith.
